Summary
This report was made under Section 11(c) of the Community Services (Complaints Reviews and Monitoring) Act 1993. We determined in early 2004 to initiate an audit of individual planning in funded disability accommodation services across NSW. This decision followed information we received from complaints to the Ombudsman and reports from Official Community Visitors that raised concerns about the way services undertake individual planning, including the adequacy of plans, monitoring, and involvement of service users. This report details our findings and recommendations.
