The NSW Ombudsman has today released the 4th edition of its Effective Complaint Management Guidelines, a comprehensive guide designed to support NSW public sector agencies, including local councils and community service providers, to strengthen their complaint management processes, and enhance accountability, and customer satisfaction.
The NSW Ombudsman’s report - Review of the DCJ Complaint System in respect of its Aboriginal Child Protection functions, was tabled in Parliament on 6 November.
The NSW Ombudsman tabled its Annual Report 2023–24 and Child Death Review Team (CDRT) Annual Report 2023–24 in Parliament on 31 October 2024.
The report follows an investigation involving a systemic examination of how inmate discipline is managed across all correctional centres. The inmate disciplinary system deals with inmates who are alleged to have committed a ‘correctional centre offence’ while in custody.
