New upgrades on the NSW Ombudsman website

Date posted:

The NSW Ombudsman website has received some exciting new upgrades which will significantly improve the ways in which community members and agencies can interact with us.

Today we have launched our new Complaints Portal, which can be accessed via the ‘Make a Complaint’ icon in the top right corner of the website. The new portal simplifies making a complaint to us and gives people the ability to track the progress of their complaint. The new online portal connects to a new backend complaint handling system, and we appreciate complainants’ patience as we adapt to new enhanced, complainant-focused processes.

See our user guide for a detailed walkthrough of the new Complaints Portal.

Additionally, we have added an intuitive AI Assistant to our site, which provides 24/7 online support to all our stakeholders. The AI Assistant is accessible from the website home page, via the ‘Use our AI Assistant’ button.

The AI Assistant will provide complainants and agency staff with answers to commonly asked questions and help with navigating the website. For more information on how the AI Assistant works see About the AI Assistant.

By offering real-time support, the AI Assistant helps ensure that our website users receive immediate responses to their inquiries, improving accessibility and user experience. Whether it’s a quick query or assistance with submitting a complaint, our website users will have a convenient, on-demand resource available anytime, from anywhere.
