Under the Community Services (Complaints, Reviews and Monitoring) Act 1993, the NSW Ombudsman played a key role in relation to people with disabilities. This included handling and investigating complaints about disability services; inquiring into major issues affecting people with disabilities and disability service providers; and monitoring, reviewing and setting standards for the delivery of disability services.
From March 2021, the NSW Ombudsman no longer monitors disability reportable incidents.
We acknowledge the traditional custodians of the land on which we work and pay our respects to all Elders past and present, and to the children of today who are the Elders of the future.
